The district administration of Biswanath has launched a large-scale eviction drive at Baghmari with the objective of reclaiming 265 bighas of encroached government land. The operation, carried out under tight security arrangements, aims to free valuable public land from illegal occupation and ensure its lawful use.
Officials said the eviction was conducted following prior notices and in accordance with legal procedures. Heavy machinery and a large contingent of police personnel were deployed to prevent any untoward incidents during the drive.
The administration stated that the reclaimed land would be utilized for public welfare and development purposes. Authorities reiterated their commitment to continue such drives to protect government property and uphold the rule of law, while maintaining peace and order in the area.
