Assam Government Honours Women Volunteers with Financial Assistance
The Assam government has provided financial assistance of ₹25,000 each to 21 women volunteers of Zubeen Kshetra in recognition of their dedicated service toward maintaining cleanliness in the area. The assistance, approved by Himanta Biswa Sarma, was distributed by Tapan Das during a programme held at Zubeen Kshetra on Monday. Members of the Zubeen Kshetra Monitoring Committee, local representatives, and residents attended the event. The beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying they had carried out the cleanliness work with a spirit of community service rather than expecting any financial reward. The initiative recognizes and encourages selfless public service.
