🌺 What does Khuti Puja signify?
The Bengali word “khuti” (খুঁটি) means a post or pillar. During Khuti Puja, a wooden or bamboo post is ceremonially installed at the proposed site of the Durga Puja pandal. It symbolically marks the laying of the foundation of the puja.
It is much more than a construction ritual. Traditionally, it represents:
